Things I Think and Things I Like

Look at this happy ass dog!
I realize that I rarely post pictures of Ruthless but that’s only because I’ve mostly taken pictures of Dreizehn lately. Oops. This is me and Ruthie at the horse show this past weekend. When this picture was taken she was not only asleep (and smiling, if you cannot tell) but she was also snoring - adorably.
Bobtail squid have a symbiotic relationship with bioluminescent bacteria which inhabit a special light organ in the squid’s mantle. The bacteria are fed a sugar and amino acid solution by the squid and in return hide the squid’s silhouette when viewed from below by matching the amount of light hitting the top of the mantle. What a wonderful thing nature is.

Oh look, it’s my beautiful Dreizehn <3
I love pictures of him running and looking happy.
It was so hot out yesterday that Dreizehn, who normally acts as if water is going to melt him, sat down in the kiddie pool. This is his “I’ve had enough and would like to go home” face.
